Our narrow boat is Pendragon, a well-built (David Piper design) and well-maintained narrow boat cruising the Lancaster canal and other waterways of the British Isles. As such we are not a marina-based service but a mobile floating service that operates from many drop-on and drop-off points along the way.
Our service and route are designed around an action-packed activities programme encompassing local areas of interest along the way.
As a trainee crew member and as part of the team, the young person will participate in almost all aspects of the running of the boat; from navigation, steering, the H&S checks, cooking, cleaning and much more. Furthermore the young person will work towards, and achieve a ‘mini’ helmsman certificate demonstrating their development and participation throughout their stay.
A safe and settled environment helps to promote emotional health and wellbeing.
People solutions can help break the cycle of care for the next generation.
